Where to find a weekend bank branch?

Most of the banks in Korea open from 9 o'clock to 16 o'clock on weekdays(It may vary with financial institutions). It makes you difficult to access them because most of you may have a job or study to do on weekdays. So you may wonder if there are weekend branches in Korea.

Of course, there are. However, they're not that many and only a few. On this page, we'll explain how you can find them.

The Korea Federation of Banks(은행연합회) has a list of the weekend bank branches. But not just weekend bank branches but the bank branches with extended opening hours, etc too. The website suggests that contact the branch before visiting.

1. Go to the website of The Korea Federation of Banks then click on '소비자포털'.

2. Then, move your mouse cursor to '금융서비스정보' and click on the menu '탄력점포검색' on the sub-menu appears below.

Then you'll see the introduction page and tabs.

If you click on '유형별 검색' you can choose a branch type to find.

4. Click on a tab and search for a branch near your home. '(출)', '(파)' means a smaller branch(출장소). They possibly offer limited services compared to other ordinary branches and some of the branches may be located inside a company and they won't let you in.
